Birth of Mikanto
It all begins in Madagascar, our homeland.
Driven by a deep attachment to our roots and an admiration for local craftsmanship, we — a small group of passionate Malagasy people — dreamed of a brand capable of spreading our heritage beyond borders.
From the very beginning, our ambition was clear: to bring together the best artisans in the capital, seek out the finest materials, and create pieces that proudly carry the colours of Madagascar.
Mikanto was born from this desire to offer beautiful, sustainable and authentic creations — faithful to our culture and the natural elegance of our island.
Silent ascent
First steps, first returns
After several months of creation, we launched our first pieces in France.
It was a period of discoveries, of trials… and above all of wonderful encounters.
Through each order, each message received, we saw what we suspected confirmed: our pieces touched, told a story, and found their place in the daily lives of women sensitive to authenticity.
This initial feedback — often enthusiastic — gave us the strength to continue, to refine our approach, and to believe even more in our mission.

Every step has been redesigned to take our creations to an even higher level of excellence.
It was a year of structuring and elevation, also marked by the establishment of our logistics partnership with DHL — to deliver reliably internationally.

Combien de temps mon sac peut-il durer ?
Nos sacs sont faits pour durer des années. Le raphia est une fibre solide et souple qui conserve sa forme et sa beauté au fil du temps.
Comment entretenir mon sac ?
Conservez-le à l’abri de l’humidité prolongée et évitez les charges trop lourdes.
Pour le nettoyage, un simple chiffon sec ou légèrement humide suffit.
